I forgot my PIN

These are the steps to follow in case you do not remember or the PIN of your certificate issued by ANF C.A. does not work.

 

Note: previously you will need to have access to your ANF CA personal area. If you don't remember this password either, please check this other article

Change the PIN from ANF CA Personal Area

You can change your PIN at any time by accessing your ANF CA Personal Area at www.myaccount.es, and following the next steps:

  • First, go to My Certificates (on the left pannel) and click on the Details button of the certificate which you don't remember the PIN.Captura de pantalla 2024-05-29 103626
  • At the bottom, in More options click on Change PIN.Captura de pantalla 2024-05-29 103834

Now, depending on when your certificate was issued:

Certificates issued on or after 2023/01/06

  • A recovery code is provided with the issuance warning email, sent from no-reply@anf.es at the time the certificate was issued:Captura de pantalla 2024-05-29 104930

  • You need to enter this recovery code, then you will be able to generate a new PIN. Remember the new PIN must be between 10 and 15 characters long, and contain uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols.

Certificates issued before 2023/01/06

  • When the certificate was requested you were asked to create a PUK code in addition to your PIN.

  • You will need to enter your old PIN and generate a new one. If you do not want to change the PUK, you can enter the old one.

  • Once you have finished, click on Define keys and you should see the message PIN successfully changed.

What if I don't remember my previous PIN?

In that case, you will need to remember your PUK code and follow the steps below:

  1. First, force the PIN lock by entering the wrong PIN several times, until the red padlock icon appears in the ANF CA personal area next to your certificate.pin_bloqueado-1 (1)

  2. Click on the Details button of the certificate in question, and in the More options section, then click on the Unblock PIN icon.

  3. You will be prompted to enter the PUK twice.image-png-3 (1)

  4. If everything is correct, you will see the message PIN successfully changed.

    You can now use your old PIN again.

What if I do not remember neither the PIN nor the PUK?
